OUR SERVICES

We Believe Sexually Harmful Behavior is Treatable and Preventable.

Providing prevention programs for more than 3 decades

From individual counseling to group therapy, PPI offers a wide array of services in-person at seven Minnesota locations and virtually. We support clients of all genders, ages, 13+ and their families and loved ones. We offer services in English, Spanish, and Hmong.

Treatment works.

Internal studies and studies across the country have shown that 95% of those who successfully complete treatment programs have not reoffended.

Individual & Group Therapy

Addressing sexually harmful behavior and preventing future offenses, we have groups for both men and women. We offer 6 group types to address diverse treatment needs. Groups include our Standard Group, as well as our 5 Specialty Paths that provide extra support. Learn more about each Speciality Path below.

For individuals with obsessive thinking and compulsive patterns of behaviors including, but not limited to, sexual addiction.

For high-risk individuals who typically have an extensive criminal history, embedded patterns of offending, and previous treatment attempts.

Treatment for low or at-risk adults with violations of privacy, sexual harassment, or other sexual boundary issues. This is a closed, cohort, 20-week therapeutic group.

EQ

For individuals with mild processing deficits, trauma, and/or mild intellectual or developmental challenges. Smaller groups and modified standard treatment work.

SQ

For individuals with social or communication deficits. These clients may have average cognitive abilities but benefit from additional focus and support. Treatment includes added skills and practice components.

"Within Limits”
Psychoeducation & LABOR

A diversion program to reduce the demand for commercial sex and sex trafficking. Educating men who engage in solicitation by providing accurate information about the global and specific negative impacts of commercial sex.

A program designed to educate and reinforce safe and healthy sexual boundaries in relationships. Separate cohorts are offered for adults (18+) and youth (13-17)

An educational program for individuals who have demonstrated problematic or concerning sexual behaviors in a school atmosphere. Offered as a diversion program for individuals facing Title IX investigations and sanctions

Stepping Stones Program

An intensive outpatient program for individuals with developmental/cognitive impairments. Treatment varies but may consist of individual and group therapy; small groups for reduced sensory stimulation; skills focus (Life, Social, and Health); sensory and brain-based interventions; healthy sexuality teaching; and projective tools. This program supports a continuum of care for clients who are ready for a less restrictive alternative, such as transitioning out of day treatment programs.

Assessments & Evaluations

We provide comprehensive Psychosexual Evaluations and Sexual Arousal/Interest Assessments for those who are in need of objective evaluative services. Services include psychosexual evaluations (juvenile & adults), psychological testing, sexuality evaluations, Penile Plethysmograph (PPG), and ABEL & ABID Assessments.

Supervision and Sponsor Training

Offered to families and friends who agree to act as a supervisor or volunteer to be a sponsor of a PPI client in order to support with meeting goals during treatment and maintaining healthy sexual behavior into the future.

Private Counseling Services

Individual, couples, and family therapy with sex-specific areas of focus such as unhealthy internet sexual behaviors, sexual health concerns, reunification, relapsing behaviors, and more.

Support for Families

We know families and friends need to have a safe place to turn to for support. We offer a no-cost support group, Inner Circle Support Group, for impacted families and friends to gather, ask questions, and talk about concerns related to their personal experiences. We also offer therapy for couples or families needing support to cope with the aftermath of sexually harmful behavior.

For me, PPI was the process of tracing a path to how I got here and creating a path to where I want to be.
PPI Client
The support staff were very non-judgmental. I had a lot of shame and it was hard for me to approach them. After awhile I realized they are here to help, so I relaxed.
PPI Client
These goals are not just for treatment. They are the road map to the rest of my life.
