We envision a world free of sexual violence and abuse.

We have been providing prevention programs for more than three decades. Using what we know about the factors that contribute to sexual abuse, we implement programs that stop abuse form happening in the first place.

Programming and services include:

  • – Clinical therapy to prevent clients from committing future contact and non-contact sexual offenses
  • – Visitation supervision training
  • – Support for families of individuals who have offended
  • – Training for victim-advocates and advocacy groups
  • – Consultation with civic leaders, law enforcement, and legal professionals
  • – Training for community members to recognize and report potentially harmful, sexual behaviors
  • – Educating the public and community service providers about PPI clinical services

Our Mission

To provide psychotherapy, consultation, research, training, and education in a way that prevents sexual violence and abuse, protects community interests, and improves the lives of clients, families, and the community at large.

Our goal is to help our clients understand that a sexually abusive act is an interpersonal violation and a symptom of underlying psychosocial dysfunction. We work with clients to develop effective behavior management skills and to resolve underlying issues that allowed the offense to happen. We emphasize developing meaningful and rewarding interpersonal relationships and a socially healthy and appropriate lifestyle.  Our therapeutic process address the clients total needs: psychological, social, physical, spiritual, and sexual.

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to change, talk, and re-think about what I did wrong. Everyone was so supportive and helpful. All I can say is thank you!”

“When I started, I was an arrogant, dumb know-it-all, and didn't care. Here, I learned how to handle anger, how to communicate, and how to care about people.”
PPI Client
"The support staff were very non-judgmental. I had a lot of shame and it was hard for me to approach them. After awhile I realized they are here to help, so I relaxed."
PPI Client
“I was at PPI a long time. I really appreciate the therapists who said, 'I'm not going to give up on you.'”
